What the test actually is
The paper

- 180 minutes for the full paper.

- 200 questions, single correct answer.

- None. A blank answer and a wrong answer score the same, so never leave one blank.
Sitting it
- Frequency
- 4 series a year. Each series is a separate form and a separate fee.
- Mode
- Computer-based in Islamabad and Quetta. Paper-based in Karachi and Gilgit.
- Centres
- Islamabad (H-12 Campus), Quetta (NUST Balochistan Campus), Karachi (DHA City Campus), Gilgit (APS Jutial).
- Results
- About 24 hours for the computer-based test, 5 to 7 working days for the paper-based one.
Getting in, and what it costs
- Merit
- NET 75%, HSSC Part 1 15%, SSC 10%. NET is three quarters of your number.
- Eligibility floor
- 60% in both SSC and HSSC, just to be allowed to apply.
- Application fee
- Rs 5,000 per series, paid to NUST. Rs 10,000 for overseas candidates.
- What we charge
